Collision Advice

The goal of repair planning is to write a thorough damage analysis based on the OEM repair procedures. In this course, all attendees will learn a proven approach to writing a safe and proper repair plan. Attendees will learn how to analyze damage and document the damage in a way that will assist you in negotiating with insurance partners, as well as reduce liability. Attendees will also learn proven techniques for justifying repair operations, part type selection and refinish operations.

In addition, we’ll discuss:

  • Key considerations when replacing specific components, such as non-reusable parts, adjacent panel damage, and much more
  • How to create a repair plan based on OEM repair procedures.
  • The importance of researching OEM repair procedures and tips and trick for finding what you are looking for in each system
  • How to present a bullet proof file for reimbursement of Pre- and post-repair scans as well as other operations that may require the use of a scan tool.
  • How to analyze exterior and structural damage, including the types of materials used in today’s vehicles and their repair limitations.
  • How to negotiate refinish operations, such as gravel guard, finish sand and buff, extending clear, basecoat reduction and more.

Virtual Course Requirements

  • This class is presented virtually across 7 sessions on the following schedule:
    • Monday – 11 am to 11:30 am EST
    • Tuesday – 11 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm EST
    • Wednesday – 11 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm EST
    • Thursday – 11 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm EST
  • You MUST attend all sessions to get credit for the class.  If you miss a session, contact your instructor immediately.
  • This course requires all attendees to complete and submit a pre-course assignment PRIOR to the start of the course
  • Attendees MUST submit a final estimate for review upon completion of the class. 
  • Only the registered attendee may view these sessions and only the registered attendee will receive credit for completing this course.
  • Class size will be limited to allow for active attendee participation
  • Course links will be sent to attendees after registration is completed

Class space is limited so if you are not able to attend your course series, please let us know as soon as you can so we can allow another shop on the waitlist to attend.  We will work with you to reschedule you into another course date that works better for you.  If you are unable to attend one of the course sessions, a recording of that session will be provided.  This class is non-refundable.

This class is not designed or meant to address the needs of the Commercial Fleet or Heavy Duty Truck Collision Repair Center Estimators.

NOTE:  This class must have at least 13 people registered in order to be held.  If the class cancels, your registration will be moved to the next virtual event date automatically and you will be notified.
